  • Ink comic panel: two rockers crouch low face to face, one with a hand near the floor Best Jerk The sudden drop and rock of the body, on the break.

Prince / Princess of Up Rock

The fourth title of the day. Rules, judges and prizes for all four: coming soon.

The day

  • Rock battles. Face to face and without touching, the way the fundamentals describe.
  • Apache Lines. Two lines of rockers face each other, one against one or crew against crew. How an Apache Line runs.
  • Call-outs. A call-out is a challenge: one rocker names another and the two face off.
  • Workshops. Up Rock classes for every level, including dancers who come from other styles.
  • An open talk about where the dance comes from and where it is going.
